LOLER Inspections

Statutory inspections must be conducted every six months for passenger lifts and annually for goods lifts to confirm their operational safety.

Only a ‘competent person’ should carry out inspections of lifts and hoists used for lifting people or loads.

Immediate rectification is required for any identified defects or faults in lifting equipment.

Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all inspections is essential and must be readily available.
